Journalist. Battistessa migrated to Australia 1928, following business ventures in India and Borneo. A leader of the inter-war Sydney fascist movement. Edited The Italo-Australia and II Giornale Italiano newspapers. Regular contributor to Italian and English language newspapers in NSW - Scope and ContentCorrespondence 1916-1977; autobiographical notes; literary manuscripts and newscuttings of articles for the Italian and English language press; printed material; obituary of Franco Battistessa, with typescript of English translation by Nino Randazzo. Some papers are of Franco Battistessa's son, Adrian. Acquired as part of The Italians in New South Wales Project.
