    W. G. Broughton, 1788-1853, was born in Westminster and ordained deacon and priest in 1818. He was appointed Archdeacon of New South Wales in 1829, and became the first Anglican Bishop of Australia in 1836. When the See was divided in 1847 he was made Bishop of Sydney. He died in London in 1853
  • Scope and Content
    Dissertation in which the author attempts to prove that the Gospel texts on to the Last Judgement refer principally, if not solely, to the destruction of Jerusalem in A.D. 70 and the fate of the Jewish people. Unsigned. Watermark 1814. Authorship established from comparison of handwriting with other manuscripts in Bishop Broughton's hand
