    H.M.S. Nelson - Daily log kept possibly by Rev. William Law, Chaplain and Naval Instructor to the Nelson, an auxiliary steam-powered sailing ship which sailed from Spithead to Sydney 1881, and thereafter, until 1883, made several voyages between Sydney, Hobart, Wellington, Norfolk Island, Melbourne, Adelaide and the Pacific Islands. (22 Aug 1881-15 Aug 1883). HMS Diamond - Log kept on the corvette, Diamond, which plied mainly in Melanesian waters in 1883, visiting Hobart in 1884. Includes charts showing routes of ships, pictures of natives and views. (16 Aug 1883-1820 Mar 1884)
