He was prominent in medical circles in Sydney in the last quarter of the century, and author of textbooks for Australian conditions - Scope and ContentNotes by F. Milford, M.D. who as Surgeon on board the Tsinan steam ship China Steam Navigation Company visited the Philippine Islands, China, Tonquin, Japan, Port Darwin and other places 1900 and 1901.
