The Cosme Colony was established in 1892 by a group of Australians, led by William Lane, as an experiment in socialism. In 1908 it dissolved into individual ownership - Scope and Contenta. Legal documents, in Spanish, relating i.a. to transfer of land to William Lane, 1892, transfer to the Trustees of the Colony, 1906, and division of land between colonists, 1909 b.
