The Rev. T. T. Reed was appointed Bishop of Adelaide in 1957 and in 1973, Archbishop of Adelaide. He first began research into the life and work of Henry Kendall, c.1930 and submitted the results of that research to the University of Adelaide for the degree Doctor of Letters which was awarded in 1952. Reed has published several works on Kendall including the Poetical Works of Henry Kendall, 1966
