    Grace Crowley, 1890-1979, was an abstract painter and one of the first Australians to reflect the French post-impressionist style. She studied at the Julian Ashton School in Sydney, N.S.W., where she met Anne Dangar and together they studied in Paris under Lhote and Gleizes, 1926-1930. Anne Dangar remained in France where she worked with Albert Gleizes at Moly Sabata, Sablons in Provence. She died there in 1951
