Frederic Barker, 1808-1882, ordained a priest in April 1832, married in October 1840 Jane Sophia, elder daughter of John Harden. His other daughter's name was Jessie. In 1854 Barker was offered the metropolitan see of Sydney, N.S.W. and arrived there in May 1855
