ADMINISTRATIVE/ BIOGRAPHICAL HISTORY

Muogamarra Sanctuary, near Cowan, New South Wales, was privately incorporated in 1934 for the study and conservation of native flora and fauna. In 1954 it was dedicated by the New South Wales Parliament and the Muogamarra Sanctuary Trust was formed. On 29 Nov. 1968 authority was transferred to the National Parks and Wildlife Service and the sanctuary was incorporated in the enlarged Muogamarra Nature Reserve
