    Joseph Griffiths Reed (1890-1976) was a pioneer of radio in Australia from 1910.
    He was of Welsh descent and his wife was Marjorie Reed. He photographed Sydney using a Graflex camera during World War I, while an electrical artificer at Garden Island.
    He was a member the Institution of Engineers and designed a radio station in New Zealand. After World War II he was made a Fellow of the Institution.
    He retired from AWA in 1962. His collection is in many organisations such as the ABC and Technical College.
