R. Pennington, 1904-19--, Librarian and author came from England to Sydney, N.S.W., as literary secretary of the International University Society, 1926-1930, and returned as librarian of the University of Queensland, 1939-1945. He was a friend of the poet, Christopher Brennan - Scope and Contenta. Journals, 1920-1948, with 'illustrative material', 1916-1945, annotated and some transcribed at a later date, including letters, newscuttings, photographs and miscellaneous material b. Verses, 1923-1958 c. 'Mr. Peterley in N.S.W.', 1960, being an unpublished autobiographical narrative d. 'Fragments (of real incidents) omitted from Peterley in N.S.W.', 1969 e. 'Poems for Peggy from David for evenings in October, 1933', being transcripts of poems by various authors
