    Captain J. W. Robinson, 1824-1906, was a Tasmanian whaler who commanded the ships Offley, 1857-1865 and George H. Peake, 1872. Subsequently he became a tin-miner in Tasmania

(b) ITEM 3 (frames 86-110): Diary kept on board the 'George H. Peake', from Fremantle to Melbourne, via Singapore, 25 July - 18 Dec. 1872. (c) ITEMS 4-5 (frames 111-314): Memoirs, 1904, with notes by L. L. Robinson, 1957. (d) ITEM 6 (frames 315-323): Miscellaneous material re the Robinson family, 190?-1957.
