    Major Patrick Francis Marie Rohan Pelly was the name adopted by Frank Pearson c.1837-1899, alias Frank Gordon after his release from prison in Queensland. He served a sentence 1869-1884 for the shooting of constable M'Cabe and is assumed to have been the prototype of Captain Starlight, the bushranger in Rolfe Boldrewood's Robbery under arms. He worked in New South Wales 1891-1895 and in the Western Australian Mines Department and Geological Survey in Perth, where he died
