In the Eveleigh Carriage Works at Redfern, N.S.W. are employed railway workers from various trades unions, including the Amalgamated Metal Workers Union. The Shop Committee is composed of delegates from the various unions. In 1942, F. A. Bollins joined the Shop Committee as the Sheet Metal Workers' delegate, and in 1944 was elected Assistant Secretary of the Committee. In 1973, he became the State President/Organiser of the Amalgamated Metal Workers' Union - Scope and ContentMinute books, 1936-1946, including minutes of mass meetings, special meetings and combined shop committee/trades union meetings.
