    Robert Percy Simpson, son of Percy Simpson and Hester Elizabeth M'Neil, was a stock and station agent in Sydney in the 1880's with interests in various properties and mining operations. He married Alice Want in 1857 and his children included Edward Percy and Alice. Edward Percy was a solicitor. Edward Telford Simpson, b.1889, son of Edward Percy, was a solicitor and company director in Sydney

    (1) Robert Percy Simpson, 1852-1887; a. Personal papers, 1852-1887, will, 1852-1855, correspondence, 1861-1887, various household accounts, 1881-1887, and family tree compiled in the Mitchell Library. b. Business papers, 1867-1887; i. Material relating to the following properties: Boorooma, 1886-1887; Burindi, 1884-1887, owned by J. M. Simpson; Clerkness, 1885-1887; Gilmore, 1885-1886; Herbert Downs, 1881-1887; Yarrawin, 1886-1887; Trigamon, 1867-1885. ii. List of interests in mines, 1887, and material relating to Bell's Creek, 1886-1887, and Dargue's gold claim, 1886-1887, both situated in the Braidwood district. iii. Letters received, 1886-1887, from i.a. Pulteney Mein and G., A., and P. Mein, with an account, 1885.

    (3) Edward Telford Simpson, 1922-1963; Correspondence, 1922-1963 [CY 4030: MLMSS 498/7], with i.a. W. M. Hughes, B. S. B. Stevens, J. A. Lyons, R. G. Menzies, J. G. Latham, H. V. Evatt mainly re political matters with a memorandum, 1939, by Simpson on measures to be taken by the Government in view of the threat to Australia.

    (4) Miscellaneous material, 1872-1888; includes letter from Frederick Darley to Edward Percy Simpson, 1885, deed of settlement made by Robert Arthur Simpson on his wife, 1 June 1888, indenture, 1880, photographs.
