O.B. Ebsworth, 1827-1870, was a son of Thomas Ebsworth, woolbroker. He married Frances Mary, daughter of James Barker. On arrival in Australia he joined Mort and Co. and in 1860 started his own business as a woolbroker. From 1862 he owned Barker's woollen mill, Sussex Street, Sydney
