  • ADMINISTRATIVE/ BIOGRAPHICAL HISTORY

    Walter Vicery Wright, an overseer from Wagga Wagga, New South Wales, served as a signaller with the 4th Battalion, Australian Imperial Forces. He embarked from Sydney at the age of 20 on board HMAT Seang Choon, 11 Feb. 1915. He was awarded the Military Medal for his bravery in the field in Nov. 1916 and was wounded Feb. 1917. He returned to Australia on board HT Corinthic, 10 Jan. 1918 and was discharged as medically unfit, 17 Apr. 1918
