    Stanley Josiah Fox, a schoolmaster of Kingston-on-Thames, England enlisted with the A.I.F. in May 1915 aged 22 and embarked from Sydney, New South Wales, on board Transport Berrima, 25 June 1915. He served with the 20th Battalion in Gallipoli and France and was promoted to captain July 1916. He was wounded in action 18 Aug. 1917 and returned to Australia on the Ascanius, 26 Mar. 1919
