William P. von der Heyde and George F. Todman were partners in Heyde, Todman and Co. of Sydney, wholesale tobacco merchants, c. 1876-1901, when the firm became part of British Australian Tobacco Co. G. C. Heyde was President of the Numismatic Society of N.S.W. and held office in the Association of Australian Numismatists, 1945-1947. C. W. Heyde was President of National Rose Society, 1935-1936
