    Peter McIntyre settled at Gyrah on the McIntyre River, 1836. He was the first of a family of brothers and one sister, including John, Donald, Alexander and Mary, to settle in the Inverell district, N.S.W. Members of other branches of the family followed them to Australia, among them the McGregors, and the brothers Rev. William and Duncan McIntyre. Mary McIntyre married her cousin, Rev. W. McIntyre and Margaret McGregor married her cousin, Donald McIntyre

Primarily concerned with the Blairmore (Gyrah, Byron, Waterloo and Green Swamp stations), Dunstaffnage and Dunalpine estates of Mrs. Margaret McIntyre and members of the McIntyre and McGregor families.
