Theodora Cowan ca.1887-1949 described as "Australia's first lady sculptor' (S.M.H. 10-6-13, p.9) was born in Sydney, left Australia at the age of 6 and returned in 1913 after studying in some major European art centres. She had two sisters, Etta Cowan and Margot Symington - Scope and ContentSeries 01: Letters and postcards, mainly to Theodora and Margot Cowan from various people, 1893-1949.
