  • ADMINISTRATIVE/ BIOGRAPHICAL HISTORY

At the third annual Jean Arnot Luncheon in April 1996 a Book of Honour was introduced to celebrate Jean Arnot's commitment to the advancement of women, and also to honour other women in their nineties who have worked for women and the community. Future luncheons will acknowledge each 90-year-old member of the luncheon's organising bodies, the National Council of Women (NSW) Inc. and the Australian Federation of Business and Professional Women's Associations Inc. The inaugural luncheon was held at Parliament House, Sydney, on 8 April 1994, and originated from Jean Fleming Arnot's 90th birthday celebrations a year earlier at the same venue.
