Publican and wheelwright. He leased the Brittania Inn in 1832, inherited his father's George Street wheelwright business in 1837. By 1847 he had sold the wheelwright business and bought Wellington Inn, Tower Court, later known as Tower Inn. In 1873 he moved to the Lady of the Lake in Bay Street - Scope and ContentLeases etc. 1831-1876 of various Sydney properties including grant to Andrew Ball, 1831, lease to James Simpson 1853-, purchase of land from Thos. Kellett. Correspondence and documents, 1832-1876, including earlier papers re James Dearing. Legal documents re estate, 1876-1877, including paper re removal of Hancock's statue to Rookwood from Tower Court. Miscellaneous documents include an agreement, 1837, with Robert Voisey, a wheelwright, and apprenticeship terms for Geo. Burton, 1873
