The Australian Drug Company was founded in 1886 with its registered office in Sydney. It acquired the business formerly carried on by E. Prosser and Co. in O'Connell Street, Sydney. The first directors of the Company were David Beath, James Munro, Francis Kemp and James Beath Nicholson. Their Spring Street and O'Connell Street properties were both part of the Hon. John Frazer's estate - Scope and ContentMemorandum and articles of association of the company; minute books, 1886-1896; debenture register, 1888-1898; Mortgage register, 1887-1898; schedules of deeds received by Norton Smith from the Company, 1900. Correspondence and documents re debentures and bond warrants, 1887-1900. Documents re leasehold premises in Spring Street and O'Connell Street. Papers re retirement of Francis Kemp
