  • Scope and Content
    'Journal of Mrs. Hannah Crook, from 1st Sept. 1819 to August 1821' and Journal of Miss Elizabeth Crook, 31 July to 7 Oct. 1845. The journal is a record of Mrs. Crook's life on a mission station in Tahiti where her husband, Rev. W.P. Crook was a missionary. On loose page in the front of the volume is a note that before her marriage Mrs. Crook was a Miss Hannah Dare. At the back of the volume is a journal by Miss Elizabeth Crook on a voyage from Sydney to Calcutta, July to Oct. 1845 with her uncle and aunt, Mr & Mrs Hogg. Pencil note at beginning of this journal says Surgeon Hogg was returning to India in charge of horses for the Indian Government. Loose at the back are pages torn from an unidentified diary
