    Volume records the dispositions heard by the Supreme Court of New South Wales, Criminal Jurisdiction, Broken Hill Circuit Court regarding an incident over free labourers on a shearing property in Grassmere (near Wilcannia). The individuals accused of 1. Riot & 2. Unlawful assembly are: William Maclean, John Murphy, John Jones, Joseph Thomas Virgin, Hugh Graham, Hector Osborne, Albert Herr, and Alfred Montgomery.
    Testimonies are given by police constables, shearers, a gaoler, and medical practitioner and include: Joseph McDouagh, Edward Augustus Webb, Thomas Edward Atkins, Walter Robert Hamilton, Alexander Fraser, Albert Fenwick, William Smith, Zacharia Williams, Arthur Baker, and Charles Lassetter May (manager of Grassmere Station). 26 pages
