  • ADMINISTRATIVE/ BIOGRAPHICAL HISTORY

Scott Banner was born in Manly, Sydney, Australia.

In the 1990s and early 2000s, Banner obtained degrees in Historical Archaeology and Heritage Conservation at the University of Sydney. During the same period, Banner traveled extensively, and it was during this period that he explored photography in depth.

It was through his desire to explore black and white photography that Banner became involved with the leading photography school, Point Light Photographic School and Gallery in Surry Hills, Sydney, Australia, under the tutelage of Gordon Undy and Murray Fredericks. During his time with Point Light Photographic School and Gallery, Banner studied the medium of traditional black and white photography in depth.

Banner continues to travel and photograph extensively, often in remote locations.

Scott Banner's photography business is called Scott Gregory Banner - Photographer. He produces Fine Art photographs of people, natural and urban landscape and structures, and colour digital images of urban development for the State Library of New South Wales.
