  • ADMINISTRATIVE/ BIOGRAPHICAL HISTORY

    Ebenezer Vickery (1827-1906), merchant and manufacturer, had two sons Ebenezer Jnr and Joseph. With a large trading and importing premises in Pitt Street, Sydney, he took his sons into partnership, becoming E. Vickery & Sons. The family played a prominent role in the Methodist Church for many years. His grand-son was Ebenezer Frank Vickery.

    Album, titled 'Courting, 1906' [Shows the courtship of Ebenezer F. Vickery and Ethel A. Rabbitts, who married 2 July 1908]. Includes views of Karrara [i.e. Carrara], Vaucluse; the Appian Way, Burwood; Roseville and Bronte.

    Wedding bow tie of E. [Ebenezer] Vickery Jnr and right hand glove of Jane Ellen Firth, 28 March 1879, also includes original envelope used to house items.
