Sarah Luita King is descended from Philip Gidley King’s younger son with Ann Inett, Sydney King (1790-1841). Sydney married Mary Butler in 1825 and they had seven children: Anne, Sydney, Robert Lethbridge (d. 1854), Mary, Eliza, Maria and Philip Gidley. Their son Sydney married M. Colston.
The children of Sydney, the younger, and his wife were: Robert Colston, John Alfred Colston, Leina and Letley.
Robert Colston King married Annie Edith Docwra. Robert and Annie King moved to Rockhampton, Queensland, Australia, late in 1884 or early 1885. Their children were: twins Annie Daisy (b. and d. 1884) and Beatrice Violet b. (1884); Robert Charles Docwra; Adelaide Edith (married William Teasdale Johnson); Gertrude (married Royer); Letley (married McAdam); Sydney (spinster); Mary Eleanor (married Hook); Sarah Luita (spinster); Phyllis (died in infancy); Alfred Docwra (b. 1907, bachelor). Only the twins were born in England, the remaining children were born in Australia.
Adelaide and William Johnson’s children included: Sydney King Johnson; William Robert King Johnson; and 5 others.
Mary Hook’s children included: Douglas Hook.
The Sydney King family papers were passed to the eldest male in the King family. The elder son, Robert, seems to have died without a male heir; the younger son, Alfred, did not marry.
