    Alec Hugh Chisholm, journalist and editor, was born in Maryborough, Victoria in 1890. He worked on the staff of various newspapers including the Maryborough Advertiser and the Brisbane Daily Mail, and later edited the Melbourne Argus, the Australasian and the Sydney Sunday Pictorial.

    Frederick Clarence Kendall was the son of poet Henry Kendall.

    1970; Typescript explanatory note written by Alex Chisholm, who was Magazine Editor of the Daily Telegraph at the time F C Kendall's letter was written.
    ca. 1926; Manuscript letter written by Frederick Clarence Kendall to the Daily Telegraph, in which he corrects statements made by Mary Gilmore in the Daily Telegraph about both poet Henry Kendall and his widow. Annotation on page 1, in Chisholm's hand, reads: "Cancelled by author. AHC"
