Kenneth J. Ford, composer and music teacher, was born in 1942 in Sydney. He lived and taught music for many years in Wingello in the Southern Highlands, New South Wales, before moving to Queanbeyan. His compositions have had many performances in Sydney, Goulburn, Canberra and Mittagong, particularly by recorder societies.

A. CHAMBER/INSTRUMENTAL ENSEMBLE MUSIC:
1985; Basically Bach (Preludes 11 and 12, Book I). Arranged for various instruments. 1 ms. conductor's score (photocopy), 1 ms. piano part (photocopy), and ms. parts for each 'voice' (photocopies). Composer's note: "No specific instruments are indicated to encourage flexibility, though as a guide ONLY, No.11 would suit flute, clarinet and 'cello, and No.12 would suit flute, clarinet, cello and string or electric bass".
1995; Basically Bach - II. Transcribed for S.A.T.B. recorders. For Sydney Society of Recorder Players' Workshop, Bundanoon, April 1995. 1 ms. part for Soprano and Alto recorders (photocopy), 1 ms. part for Tenor and Bass recorders (photocopy), and 1 ms. supplementary part for Bass - treble clef version (photocopy).
1993; Canticular versets. For recorder choir, recorder soloists and organ. Written for a weekend recorder workshop of the Sydney Society of Recorder Players in conjunction with the Canberra Recorder and Early Music Society at Bundanoon, Nov. 1993. 1 ms. score (with pencil annotations) and 1 ms. short score (photocopy). With information sheet and application form for the Bundanoon workshop.
1994; Canticular versets (revised version). For recorder choir, recorder soloists and organ (based on "A Festive Te Deum"). Commissioned by the Sydney Society of Recorder Players. 1 ms. score (photocopy), 1 ms. part for Soprano and Alto recorders (photocopy), 1 ms. part for Tenor and Bass recorders (photocopy). Also first page from another ms. score (incomplete).
1994-1995; Crescendo passacaglia on "Jubilate deo". For S.S.A.A.T.T.B.B. recorders. For Robert Small and the Sydney Society of Recorder Players. 1 ms. full score, 1 ms. part for S.S. and B.B., 1 ms. part for A.A. and B.B., and 1 ms. part for T.T. and B.B.
1995; Dreams in a silent land. For 2 recorders (solo and duet). 1 ms. score for C recorders, 1 ms. score of Soprano/Tenor version (photocopy), 1 ms. score of Treble version (photocopy), 2 ms. scores of Bass version (original is missing first page, photocopy is complete).
1992; Fanfare for a festival. For 4 trumpets. 1 ms. score (with 'A stately flourish' for solo trumpet written on reverse).
