The Australian Services Union (ASU), formerly: the Australian Transport Officers Federation and registered as: Australian Municipal, Administrative, Clerical and Services Union (AMACSU), was formed on July 1, 1993. It was made up of the Australian Transport Officers Federation (ATOF), Australian Social Welfare Union (ASWU), Municipal Officers Association NSW (MOA), Water Salaried and Water Employees unions (WISOU and WSEU), and the Technical Services Guild (TSG).

The records include the history of the unions that made up the Australian Services Union: the Australian Transport Officers Federation (ATOF), Australian Social Welfare Union (ASWU), Municipal Officers Association NSW (MOA), Water Salaried and Water Employees unions (WISOU and WSEU), and the Technical Services Guild (TSG).
