    Judge, John Fletcher Hargrave (1815-1885) arrived in Sydney in February 1857. His son, aeronautical pioneer and inventer, Lawrence Hargrave (1850-1915) reached Sydney in November 1865 and moved into his father's house `Rushcutters Bay House' -- Reference: Australian Dictionary of Biography, Vol.4 and Vol.9

    Inscription by Helen Gray (nee Hargrave), 1879-1966.
    Margaret and Lawrence Hargrave's first child, Helen, was born on the 22 Jun 1879, at Rushcutters Bay House. Lawrence had two brothers, Ralph and Gilbert.
