  • General note

It is likely that this album was compiled and arranged in the early twentieth century. The album itself is of early twentieth century construction. It is possible that the contents of an earlier album was put into this album by Marrianne Treherne when she gave it to Dorothy Close in 1919.
The two watercolours of Lake Macquarie - no.s 27 and 28 - appear to be by a different hand.
The wash drawing of the head of male religious figure - no. 31 - is by James Taylor.
    Digital order no:Album ID : 852861
    Album digitised Dec. 2001.

Most drawings are titled, but possibly these have been transcribed from old mounts, when this album was assembled in the early twentieth century
