    The pieces are hallmarked by Richard Crossley: from left to right the lion passant indicating sterling silver; the leopard's head is the office mark of the London Assay Office; the letter "E" dates the piece to 1800; the profile of the King's head indicates excise duty has been paid, while "RC" are the registered initials of its maker.
