Peter Doyle (1951-) novelist grew up in Sydney’s eastern suburbs. He has worked as a taxi driver, schoolteacher and musician. He has published three detective novels set in Sydney during the 1950s His first detective novel ‘Get Rich Quick’ won the 1997 Ned Kelly Award for the best first crime novel. He ahs written two other detective novels, ‘Amaze Your Friends’ in 1998 and the ‘The Devil’s Jump’ in 2001, all set in the underbelly of Sydney during the 1950s.
