    Richard Walsh (born 1941) was educated at Barker College and University of Sydney. He co-founded OZ magazine in the 1960s with Richard Neville and Martin Sharp, with all three infamously sentenced to prison for obscenity (later quashed). He was editor of POL Magazine and Nation Review before being appointed as Chief Executive of Angus & Robertson Publishers in 1972. In 1986 Walsh was appointed as publisher and later chief executive of Australian Consolidated Press. He has authored several books and written for both television and the stage.
  • Scope and Content
    Comprises personal and business correspondence and material relating to Walsh's career as a publisher, journalist and editor at Oz Magazine (including original artwork by Martin Sharp), Nation Review, Angus and Robertson and other publications. It also includes material relating to his role as Chief Executive of Australian Consolidated Press. Boxes 1 and 3 contain films. Early issues of Honi Soit have been removed for assessment.
