The Cymmrodorion Society of Sydney was founded in 1889 by Welsh people in Sydney in order to provide a meeting ground for Welsh immigrants and those of Welsh affiliation and sympathy. The aims of the Society were to promote and preserve the social, musical and cultural aspects of Welsh society.
