The Oral Histories Project, first named 'Thirty Years After', was conducted by the Ethnic Affairs Commission of New South Wales in 1981 and 1982. After the completion of that project a further series of interviews were conducted with migrants and others for the purpose of gathering wider information on the lives of migrant Australians during the twentieth century. This series of interviews includes a wide range of migrants from many countries, some of whom came as refugees and others who came voluntarily.
