    Having been informed that my Son Newton Fowell's Share of Prize Money as Midshipman of His Maj. Ship Berwick for taking the Solitaire has been paid into Greenwich Hospital, I beg Leave to represent to you that he is gone in the Kings Service on a Voyage to Botany Bay, which prevents the Possibility of his applying in Person, & therefore I am to request the Favour you will be pleased to order Payment to be made on my Behalf to Mr George Hartwell by Virtue of my Son's Letter of Attorney in my Favour.
