    The drawings are undated. Date derived from W.H. Fernyhough's, "A series of twelve profile portraits ..." Sydney: J.G. Austin & Co. No.12 Bridge Street, 1836 (Mitchell Library M.L. Q 572.991/1A1-5) from some of which these drawings appear to be based.
    Accompanying the drawers is a four-sided folded sheet of paper with the pencil text "Sketches / Fernyhough / Sketches" at the upper left-hand corner of the first page.
