The New South Wales Women Justices Association (NSW WJA), an association of Women Justices of the Peace in NSW, was inaugurated in 1923, after the first group of women justices were sworn in at Darlington Court House in Sydney in 1921. The aims of the Association are to secure amendments in the law to improve the status of women and children and to initiate legislation or secure changes in the practice of law in the interest of the general community.
