    The sketchbook has some pages missing, being removed at an unknown date. Some pages are blank and some pages are loose.
    Many of the drawings have notations and measurements noted in pencil.
    Some notes are faint and in small print being difficult to discern.

    Stamped inside the front cover, in reverse, "J. Whatman / 1828"

    Nos. 11-12 are on a loose sheets of paper, a darker shade to the album pages, and are watermarked, "Ruse & Turners / 1825"

    No.13 bears watermark, "J. Whatman / 1828"
