This version, written at Greenwich Hospital in 1817, was compiled and abridged from the original manuscript in 1898.
No.4 provides an analysis of the "original MS" that is; A life of a Greenwich Pensioner 1778 to ..." A 1618-1; and Life of a Greenwich Pensioner, that appears at beginning of this volume.
