- Scope and ContentThis work forms a pair with ML 45. Together they form a panorama of Sydney Harbour, stretching from the Heads to the Parramatta River, with the Blue Mountains in the distance. This painting's viewpoint is from above Vaucluse House, which appears centre left. The building with the enclosed courtyard to its right is the convict barracks where estate workders were confined at night. Watsons Bay is to the right of the tree.
