  Related pencil drawing: 'Sydney from the [New] South Head Road June 14./35, title and date lower right, extending over two leaves of sketchbook, 12 x 41.5 cm. Inscribed with place names and notes for colouring. Mitchell Library PXC 391, f. 46-46a.
  
  A similar view was issued as a lithograph: 'View of Sydney, from near Tivoli', in Sketches in the Environs of Sydney ... set 1, no. 2, pl. 1, 1850 (ML ref. Q981.1/M).
  
  Martens' Account book (Dixson Library DLMS 142) lists three similar titles for finished works sold in 1835, each 10 guineas: 25 July 'View of Sydney Harbour J. Manning Esq.'; 5 Sept. 'Harbour Port Jackson Mrs Jones'; 2 Dec. 'Harbour Port Jackson J. Montefiore'.
