  • ADMINISTRATIVE/ BIOGRAPHICAL HISTORY

    George Molnar (1934-1999), philosopher and libertarian, was born in Hungary. He arrived in Australia in 1951. He studied Economics and Philosophy at Sydney University where he came under the influence of Professor John Anderson and the Sydney Libertarians. Molnar was a member of the group of social anarchists and bohemians known as the Sydney Push from the 1950s to 1970s. He taught in England in the 1970s and then returned to his alma mater lecturing in Philosophy. His pastimes included chess and horse racing.
