    Glynn Christian is a descendant of Fletcher Christian, the leader of mutiny aboard Bounty in 1789, and author of the biography of his ancestor, Fragile Paradise published in 1982. It documents the life of mutineers and their descendants on Pitcairn Island.
    Glynn is a fellow of The Royal Geographic Society. He organised an expedition to Pitcairn in 1980 sponsored by the Royal Geographic Society which resulted in the collection of significant information about the island’s history and was the subject of a BBC-TV documentary made for The World About Us.
