    Jack Fingleton played cricket for Australia from 1932 to 1938, scoring five centuries in 18 tests. As a journalist he wrote articles on cricket and politics for Australian and international papers. He was also a popular and respected radio commentator and wrote a number of books, several of which are considered classics of the game.
    Tom Goodman was a distinguished Sydney sports journalist from the 1930s to the 1960s.
  • Scope and Content
    1 March 1961; Deals primarily with the problems of the working cricket media personality. There are uncomplimentary mentions of the bosses (Warwick Fairfax and Rupert Murdoch) and their economy campaigns and refences to his wife Philippa and his family, Lindsay Hassett, Bill (Tiger) O'Reilly, Dick Hughes and Edmund Blunden.
    18 September 1981; Mainly concerns his autobiography 'Batting from memeory' with references to Harold Larwood, Bill (Tiger) O'Reilly and Don Bradman.
