    3 & 5 Apr. 1785; Norwich. Autograph letter signed by Margaret Blackburn to her brother David while he was serving as Master of HMS Flora in Jamaica. She writes of her dissatisfaction with their brother Thomas' behaviour and her financial difficulties, and discusses hot-air balloons. 3 pp.

    9 Sept. 1789; Norwich. Autograph letter signed by Margaret Blackburn to her brother David at Port Jackson, New South Wales, sent via Captain Riou of H.M.S. Guardian. Margaret reports that their Mother, sister Eliza and herself are in perfect health, and that they have heard that their brother John is well in New York. Their brother Thomas died on 1 August 1787 and his wife died in November 1788, leaving one surviving child, Betsy, who is now living with Margaret. Their Aunt Finch's mental infirmities have increased and she is being cared for by Eliza. Margaret also reports on David's friend Richard Knight and his family. 4 pp.
